Ai G5 Open Pour Swimbait Mold

A much improved open pour to everything else on the market. I’ve actually purchased four of these now. Consistent every time, tolerates heat well, easy to skin pour if desired, and lots of detailing. Really fantastic.

I can't tell you how ridiculously easy it is to make your own MagDraft style Swimbaits with this mold. And this is my first soft plastic mold (technically two G5 molds). Such great head movement and naturally fluid tail action. It's not over exaggerated or difficult to get started on a slow retrieve. its a bit more slender than typical swimbaits and the interior sides of the mold are more level so you can easily add detail before pouring. It not only has out fished the mag draft for me in the first 2 weeks of use, they are saving me so much money! if I lose 6 of these baits, I'd have already made my money back for the mold. And my G5s last forever, swim amazingly unweighted, slow sink, and has such a natural swim when line through top hooked with a treble hook, Butch Browne style. Sound too good to be true? Not after you read what i've been using instead of Plastisol. I'm actually using straight clear platinum silicone, with a shore hardness of 0A in direct contact with each aluminum mold! No degassing, No heating up of plastisol or pre heating the molds. Just measure, mix and color for a couple of minutes, then pour from 12 inches above the mold as a thin ribbon till filled. this method of pouring allows the bubbles to escape.before they can sink towards the bottom. I can't wait till bigger versions in 6" 7" or 8" come around.

I say enough good things about Angling Ai and all there molds haven’t been disappointed yet. The new g5 attention to detail is amazing. I have only been able to pour a couple times but it turned out amazing. Looking forward to the next pour. Thanks for making first class molds and for your quick shipments of your products. Nothing like ordering a mold and having to wait a while for them I believe my last turn around from order to receiving it was 4 days. Thanks

Love the look & feel of this soft plastic. Only wish I was better at pouring. My baits look like they're wearing lace along their back. Beautiful paddletails though. Great detail & workmanship

Mold was bought as a gift...I have several other AI molds...would have rated 5 stars but mold needs plate like the 7.25 swimbait mold to pour a whole bait no hook slot...shouldn't have to buy seperatly in the 5". Love your molds though!!!
